Friendship

I realise now, that I’m old, what a wonderful childhood we had. I’ve met with and taught, many who have not been as fortunate as us. We all have so many memories we share - from laughing until we were crying to getting the odd ‘chup’ for bad behaviour. Family meals, holidays and outings that have become the stuff of legend - shared happily with our children and grand children. We are part of a legacy that built new lives here in Britain and helped us to become the people we are today. I’m proud, I’m grateful and I’m lucky. So, to Uncle Noel who follows the pathway to once more hook up with Aunty Ben, Uncle Tom, Uncle Bryan, Aunty Sue, Aunty Di, Uncle Ivan, Granny, Grandpa - I hope you will perhaps play some cards, have some dahl and rice, chat the days away until we’re all together again. Uncle Noel - one of the pillars upon which our collective lives have been built. Thank you.
